CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS

 

This Code shall apply to all student conduct in college premises as well as any off campus that has or may have serious consequences or a detrimental impact on the college’s interests or reputation.

  • Every student shall be punctual and attend classes regularly. The minimum attendance of 75% of the total number of working days required for admission to the university examination.
  • Students shall dress neatly, professionally, and in decent attire daily. Students not following the same shall be refrained from attending college.
  • Students must take pride in keeping the college and its environs clean and beautiful.
  • Smoking and using or keeping alcoholic drinks or drugs, tobacco is strictly forbidden on the college campus.
  • Ragging, taunting, threatening, harassing, using abusive language, etc. on junior students, particularly female students, on campus or outside is a serious offense and such incidents will be reported to the college promptly. Students who engage in such behavior will face severe consequences.
  • All students must wear an identity card whenever he/she is in the college campus and should be produced for inspection when demanded by any member of the staff.
  • Cell phones can be used inside the classrooms if specifically permitted by teachers for academic purposes only and shall not be used for telephonic communication and for entertainment purposes during college hours.
  • The principal or college authority may create and impose permanent or temporary disciplinary rules governing student behavior on campus or in the dormitory. Students are bound to follow them.
  • Students are forbidden from organizing or attending any meeting other than academic agenda in the college or to collect money for any purpose without the prior permission of the principal.

  • The teacher is responsible for carrying out the valid academic and administrative decisions made by the college authorities relevant to his/her field of responsibility/duties.
  • All teachers shall dress in professional and decent attire.
  • Teachers must take pride in keeping the college and its environs clean and beautiful.
  •  All teachers must wear an identity card whenever he/she is in the college campus.
  • Cell phones can be used outside/inside the classrooms if specifically required for academic purposes only, and shall not be used for entertainment purposes during the college hours.
  • Any teacher shall not discriminate against a student on political grounds based on race, religion, caste, language, or sex, or for any other arbitrary or personal reason, and shall not incite students/teachers against other students or other teachers, colleagues, or the college’s administration/Governing body.
  • A teacher must refrain from engaging in unempirical publishing that would be affecting the college reputation and progress.
  • Cooperate with the authorities for the betterment of the college keeping in view the interest and in conformity with dignity of the profession.
